In contrast to Botox, dermal fillers actually fill the soft tissue under skin and filling the area that are affected by the loss of subcutaneous fat and collagen restoring the curvature for a younger appearance. The effect lasts six months before the filler is eventually absorbed. There are limited number of fillers approved by FDA that can be administrated by health care providers. In Europe and UK more fillers with CE marks are available. Juvederm, Restylane, and Voluma are some of the FDA approved fillers that are different in application.
